New Trane Furnace Installation
Investing in the replacement of a new furnace is something homeowners should take the time to understand. Proper sizing of a forced air furnace (FAF) is one essential component of creating a comfortable heating system in your home.
The HVAC industry, unlike plumbing, requires you to select a branded product line. In other words, in order to offer the installation of HVAC systems you must sign agreements with a single vendor to provide the product. This is similar to how restaurants sign agreements to offer only Coke or only Pepsi products. We did our homework and found Trane’s products to be rated the top or among the top in all makes, models and lines of production. Known for their durability and efficiency, Trane is ranked in industry publications and journals as a leader in the HVAC field.
Today, our team of HVAC technicians can not only properly size and install your new furnace, they have the advanced training to optimize the system's efficiency.
Boilers / Hydronic Heat (Radiator Heat)
Hydronic heat, or heat that comes through radiators or heated floors v.s. through heated air, is often found in homes in our area. Our understanding of both plumbing and heating, offers us a unique advantage when it comes to hydronic heat.
Humidifiers
Indoor air quality and comfort can be dramatically improved with the addition of a humidifier. We service and install all types of humidifiers.
UV Lights
UV lights use germicidal light to kill organisms such as mold spores, bacteria and viruses before they effect your family's health. UV lights kills germs and controls allergens. Using light (not chemicals) this product is deadly to the micro-organisms that infest your home. Ideal for people affected by allergies and asthma.

When To Expect You Will Need To Replace Your Heating Equipment
While we don't have a crystal ball, here are some rough guidelines you can use to anticipate when you'll need to replace some of your home's heating components.
1. Heating Systems A typical forced air furnace will last 15 years.
2. Blower Motor Depending on your system, it's possible this component will need to be replaced between 7-10 years. Excessive noise and vibration will alert you when this is likely.
3. Filters & Pads Seasonally these components need to be cleaned or replaced - although some homes with pets require more frequent attention.
4. Thermostats Thermostats do go out of calibration and periodically need to be replaced.
5. UV Lights Depending on the manufacturer these should be replaced every 1-3years.
If you think your system is nearing the end of it's life, call Mahoney Plumbing - 847.432.0320
